The Aeolian islands are also known as the Lipari Islands and Isole Eolie. This volcanic archipelago is located just off the northern coast of Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Famed for perfect weather and a series of active volcanoes with numerous craters. Lipari and the aeolian islands have a strong tourism industry. They are easily reached by ferry or hydrofoil from sicily or italy.
